Rail First Asset Management offers two different leasing options:

Wet Lease Option
Our most comprehensive lease program set up with regular rental rates and predictable maintenance costs:
➢ Guaranteed supply and use of locomotives and wagons
➢ Term lengths aligned to operator end customer requirements
➢ Rail First delivers scheduled maintenance and overhauls to ensure long term reliable assets
➢ Administration and engineering support for use, registration, and other government and RIM requirements

Dry Lease Option:
➢ Same guaranteed supply and long term flexibility
➢ Customer assumes responsibility for scheduled maintenance over the term of the contract

Within both leasing products, there are a range of different obligations and requirements that are shared between the customer and Rail First.  These elements can be individually negotiated based on customer needs and operating location.

In addition to providing leases for available equipment, Rail First Asset Management is proud to offer Australia’s only domestic manufacturing and assembly of intermodal wagon equipment.
Our “Build to Leaseback” option provides:

➢ Access to new equipment and specifications with the benefit of flexible lease terms
➢ Delivery timeframes generally within 4 to 6 months (dependent on availability)
➢ Either Wet or Dry lease options for maintenance
➢ Co-branding opportunities.
