Beata Lipman

Chief Executive Officer

Beata Lipman joined the business as Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer in July 2023 and was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in December 2023. Beata has over 18 years of commercial and operational industry experience.

Prior to joining Rail First Asset Management, Beata held leadership roles at Pacific National, Asciano, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Beata led the containerised freight business as Chief Financial Officer and also managed over $1B in commercial property and terminal developments nationally.

Beata is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting and finance) from the University of Sydney.

Janeen Dibley

Chief Financial Officer

Janeen Dibley joined the business in May 2024 and has over 20 years' experience in senior finance roles across a wide range of industries including, logistics, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, and energy.

Prior to joining Rail First Asset Management, Janeen was General Manager of Finance for Transgrid, Australia’s largest electricity network, and also held senior finance roles at Downer Rail and Pacific National.

Janeen holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Newcastle University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, she has obtained a Governance and Risk Certificate from the Governance Institute of Australia.

Robert Tatton-Jones as Chief Operating Officer Rail First

Robert Tatton-Jones

Chief Operations Officer

Robert Tatton-Jones joined Rail First in February 2025 and has over 32 years experience in freight and passenger rail.

Robert has developed, led, delivered and operated assets for operators, owners and railway manufacturers across Australia and the UK including direct experience with rollingstock maintenance and project delivery.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK..

Vic Regina

Chief Commercial Officer

Vic Regina joined the business as Chief Commercial Officer in March 2024. Vic has over 30 years of senior comercial freight, logistics, transport, and operational industry experience.

Prior to joining Rail First Asset Management, Vic held leadership roles at Pacific National, Transport of NSW, and Federal Express Australia.

He brings skills across business development, operations, planning, implementing, and controlling business strategies, and helping to achieve people, safety, customer, and performance targets.

Vic holds an MBA, as well as several post-graduate qualifications, including a Diploma of Business Administration, and a Diploma in Property Development.

Julie Ryan

General Counsel

Julie Ryan (LLB (Hons.) B.Com) joined Rail First in May 2024 and has over 20 years’ experience in both private and in-house legal practice, as well as in corporate governance, government and corporate affairs, and communications. She is also an experienced company director.

Prior to Rail First Julie has held diverse senior executive roles including Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability for Endeavour Group (ASX: EDG), CEO of Retail Drinks Australia, Global General Counsel and Company Secretary for Accolade Wines, and Senior Associate in the M&A practice of Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce, from Flinders University.

Kate redway PEOPLE DIRECTOR

Kate Reddaway

PEOPLE DIRECTOR

Kate Reddaway joined the business in July 2024 and has 15 years' experience in diverse human resources roles across industries such as commercial construction and local government.

Prior to joining Rail First Asset Management, Kate was Head of People Operations for Richard Crookes Constructions, one of Australia’s largest privately owned construction contractors. Kate led the HR Business Partnering function, supporting a workforce of 850 people, to deliver $1.6 billion worth of work annually.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Human Resource Management from Macquarie University and brings skills in the areas of people strategy, employment relations, engagement, cultural transformation and talent management.

Peter Lanyi

Strategic Improvements Director

Peter Lanyi joined Rail First Asset Management in March 2021. He has 28 years of rail industry experience including 25 years with Canada’s second largest Class-1 railway, Canadian Pacific.

During his time with CP he gained extensive experience in Engineering, Marketing and Sales, Mechanical, Asset Planning and Procurement. He held several senior leadership roles through the company’s successful implementation of Precision Scheduled Railroading, including Senior Director Asset Strategy, Senior Director Mechanical Procurement and General Manager Locomotive & Fuel. In early 2019, Peter made the move to Australia and joined Pacific National as Head of Asset Management, leading multiple engineering and maintenance related transformation initiatives.

Having spent over half his career in asset management related roles, Peter led the development and execution of multiple strategies resulting in dramatic improvements in asset productivity and fuel efficiency.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McGill University in Montreal.
